Who is eligible for the LBTC Freshers Scholarship?
The Freshers Scholarship is open to newly admitted 100L or ND1 students in accredited public universities or polytechnics in Nigeria. Applicants must have achieved at least 5 credits in WAEC or NECO in a single sitting (including Mathematics and English), demonstrate financial need, and show strong community character.
What CGPA is required for Returning Student Renewals?
Continuing undergraduate scholars must maintain a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.50 out of 5.00 (or equivalent) to remain eligible for annual renewal, alongside good conduct and participation in mentorship sessions.
Are students in private universities eligible to apply?
Currently, our scholarship endowment is specifically dedicated to supporting bonafide students enrolled in public tertiary institutions (Federal and State Universities/Polytechnics) across Nigeria to maximize support for underprivileged families.
Is there any application or processing fee?
No! Application to all Let's Build The Child Foundation programs is 100% free of charge. The foundation will never ask applicants for money at any stage of the application or award process.
How will I know if my application is selected?
Shortlisted candidates are notified directly via their provided email address and phone number for document verification and interview scheduling. Official announcements are also published on our website and official communications.
